About
I am a husband and father of 6 (plus a couple of dogs and a cat). Our family lives at 9,000 feet on the Eastern slope of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range in the southern part of Colorado. We are about 15 minutes outside of the little town of Westcliffe. My wife Amanda and I are both involved in ministry at Horn Creek Camp, a Christian retreat with a generational focus on spiritual retreat and challenge. We are also involved at Hope Lutheran Church in Westcliffe, where I serve as the music and worship leader. I also remain connected to Irving Bible Church, in Irving, Texas, where I served as worship pastor for 17 years.
Currently, we are enjoying the journey of life, learning to dig deep into our local community, starting to grow our own food and live as ‘locally’ as possible.
Bloguss is the place where I post personal stories, interesting stuff that draws my attention, and thoughts on books, music, movies, gardening, food, local brews, etc, etc, etc…
I also have a site called AccidentalLutheran, which is focused more specifically on issues of worship, faith and the Church.
