What a ecumenical mambo jambo! There is nothing right about Islam. We worship a different GOD. We as Christians have to tell everyone else that there is only One God and One mediator between God and Man, Christ Jesus. Jesus is the ONLY one we can count to mediate between us and the FATHER. No saints, no Mary, no pope, no priest, no pastor, no Buda and yes NO Islam beliefs can forgive us from our sins. Only Jehovah God thru Calvary. WE NEED TO PREACH TO THEM AND NOT LISTEN TO THEIR WRONG BELIEF THAT WLLL ULTIMATLY SEND THEM TO HELL.

Just read through your previous posts about running. You have definitely progressed like an experience runner. The App I mentioned (or any other) will put you on a program with specific mileage each training day. I highly reccomend it. It's so not fair that men progress at excercise so differently then women. I just did my first 8 miler last Saturday and will repeat 8 this Saturday , moving on to 10 next Saturday... And so on. We do 4 & 5 mile runs during the week. I didn't feel the "high" until about mile 6 of 8, but it was a great feeling! For whatever reason my 5 tonight were awful! I ended up walking the last mile just to count it done! Anyhoo, I too can't recall ever having run 1 mile before, so for me every new distance is a huge accomplishment!

...and now I'm just rambling about running. Maybe it's becoming a bit more a part of my life than I like to admit!

Thanks, Susan. Great tips. At this point this is about more than just getting in shape. Maybe I'll see you in Denver!

Hey!
I loved getting my new running shoes last month! And they are NOT kidding about the socks! When you find the right kind for you don't switch from them! I have also discovered "GLIDE" -it's great for any where that anything rubs against anything else. I use it on my feet to help avoid blisters. Are you planning to go long distance or just get in shape? Compression clothing really helps contain the jiggly belly too!

Who knew running was such an investment in time, energy, finances....

I'm training for the Dallas Rock n Roll half at the end of march AND I'm already thinking I might do the same one in Denver later this year!

One last thing... Get the Nike+ GPS app if you haven't already, it's great for tracking your runs!
Happy running!

Great to hear you've taken up running. Way to go. Are you about to do a 1/2 marathon? You're there mileage wise.

Thanks, Jerry! I hadn't even thought of that. My Nike Fusions don't have enough Ware wear yet to tell much of a story. But I dug out my old New Balance 571s. I didn't do much running in them, but a lot of walking and trail hiking. Maybe they'll be able to tell something from those. They definitely show some mileage.

Here's where I'm headed tomorrow...

I hope whatever works for me comes in lime green or something like that. It's really going to suck if the right shoe is some sort of white and grey monstrosity.

Be sure you take an old pair of shoes for the fitter to look at---they'll tell a lot from the Ware wear (HAHA) on the bottoms. I suspect trying to watch and evaulate your stride while you run is pretty subjective---looking affects (effects?) your gait, stride, posture. Let the shop pro do that. As an aside, I'm in my 42nd pair of Asics DS Trainers since 1995. Found something that works (near as I can tell) for me. Hey, it's amazing in itself that they still make the same model shoe for 17 years!

I know you're right, Jerry! Hopefully I can get it done this Saturday. I did just a little running today... less than a quarter mile... just to really pay attention to my feet. I was able to confirm that I have pretty strong under pronation. You can actually see it! Also, I assumed that I was a heel striker, because that's how I walk. But, turns out, when I'm running I hit pretty much in the middle, if not somewhat towards the front. Crazy. Looking forward to shoes that are just right for me!
